Department of Labor x Purepost

San Francisco - Purepost is thrilled to announce our partnership with the Department of Labor, starting February 1, 2023, through its Employment Navigator and Partnership Pilot to provide Purepost services to interested transitioning service members and their spouses.

Purepost and the Employment Navigator Partnership Pilot (ENPP)

At select sites, Employment Navigators provide, direct, one-on-one career assistance outside of the formal DOL Transition Assistance Program (TAP) classroom instruction. Transitioning service members and their spouses can work with Employment Navigators to complete self-assessments, do skills testing, explore career options and identify high-demand occupations and necessary credentials. They also can review detailed labor market information and connect with government and non-government partners for additional employment related services.

The class helps military members re-integrate into the civilian world, and is administered to ~200,000 service members each year. Key to successfully re-integrating is finding full employment, which is precisely what Purepost enables. Purepost’s founding mission is to help service members successfully find full employment in optimal career fields upon leaving the military.

Purepost to Improve Job Opportunities for Veterans

The Purepost Passport is free to all job seekers, who can quickly create a profile that translates their work history into skills. Purepost Sonar, our job matching process, allows companies to connect with Purepost Passport holders to match their open positions to students, veterans and other job seekers with the right skills and competencies, while Purepost Compass provides ERGs, Veterans Service Organizations, colleges and universities with the tools they need to help their students and job seekers.

"Studies show that getting veterans employed in optimal career fields will DOUBLE their career earnings, job satisfaction, and rates of retention,"said Matt Louis, President of Purepost and author of Mission Transition: Navigating the Opportunities and Obstacles to Your Post-Military Career. "If military service is not seen as providing a gateway to successful civilian careers, future participants in the nation’s all-volunteer military may be dissuaded from serving. It is thus a matter of national security."

The collaboration with the Department of Labor builds on the October 2022 announcement of Purepost’s partnership with Phillips, which underscores the value these jobseekers have to employers.

Military service members are only one of Purepost’s customers: ANYONE can create a free Purepost Passport within minutes and have their experience instantly translated into skills and abilities that employers need. Job seekers can also explore over four million open jobs that match their skills, prepare for interviews, and access a knowledge library to further prepare for their job search.
