  • Georgia’s central point of contact for services to veterans enrolled in training or education under the Department of Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program. Facilitates and provides services to VR&E-referred Special-Disabled veterans to include on-the-job-training development, non-paid work experience, selective job placement, follow-up services, etc. Provides detailed, accurate, and complete progress notes on the veterans’ as received from the Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist to the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor as needed. Provides input into rehabilitation or closure reports; coordinates and communicates with all Georgia’s One-Stop Career Centers regarding the delivery of the above services. Submits quarterly reports to State Veterans' Program Coordinator and the Director for Veterans' Employment and Training regarding all VR&E activity. Oversees VR&E services of 42 Georgia Department of Labor Career Centers, 7 Veterans Affairs Vocational Rehab Offices and works directly with 46 DVOP Specialist and 47 Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors throughout the state of Georgia.
